Winter Mode
It is a beautiful time of year, and there are a lot of events being offered. One event definitely worth going to, is Winter Mode presented in conjunction with Noel Night a 37 year tradition in the Detroit art world. The theme for the evening is People as Art, with various artwork, sculpture, and more bringing that theme to life. With $10 cover and art reception starting at 7pm, the charity of the night is the Red Cross.
Embellir and Laurette Designs will be bringing their version of people as artwork with a fashion show at 9 pm. The fashions of Rinaco Styles will show her beautiful crochet wears. And Gods Label by Tre will be showing his new line, as well as special guests. Laura Deljanin, Curator, will certainly bring a string of wonderful artists. Two highlights that evening will be the artwork by Below Zero and an original Dali. There will also be an Artesian Market, a place where you can get your holiday shopping done early with this ongoing shopping experience starting with Winter Mode continuing the season on Wednesdays and Saturdays 12 – 6 pm through December 19 inside Fort Street Gallery. Items will start at $10 and there is something for everyone.
The evening’s afterglow, Club Moonlight, will be turned in to a live film set. Redline Cinema, in keeping with support of the arts will be filming a scene from “Cold City” live during the party. There will be live artist interviews with Red Remote, a local television project covering ‘indie’ & pop entertainment. There will be talent signup, you can shoot your own video, and Sex Appeal Magazine will be seeking promo and print models, for their future projects.
There will be a professional networking event from 5 –7 where all industry leaders, from film, model/talent agencies, or any and all genre can talk shop or cross promote for future projects. There will be auditions taped for future review. And the afterglow, Club Moonlight, will feature filming and DJ June spinning all night long.
